Students to get relaxation in Canada Express Entry

For these students, Canada has loosened the requirements for Canada PR eligibility under Express Entry

The Canadian government has loosened requirements for Canada PR eligibility through its Express Entry system, which will be a big relief to thousands of students.


The pandemic-related online course requirements for students enrolled in Canadian universities will now qualify them for Canadian educational certification points.

If more than 50% of the program was completed through distant learning, online education does not count for Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points under normal circumstances.

According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), this temporary concession will only applies to students who finished their degrees online between March 2020 and August 2022.

  • By pursuing part-time education
